Mom's Rice Pudding


1/2 gallon milk 3/4 cup sugar 4 TB butter or Margarine 1 cup carolina rice Put into large pan
cook for 45 minutes. Add 1 cinnamon stick
5 whole cloves. Cook 15 minutes more. Remove from fire
remove cinnamon and cloves. Add 1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs that have been beaten with a fork. Put a few spoons of hot mixture into the eggs and mix well. Then put egg mixture into rice mixture. Mix well
add raisins if you want. Pour into a bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg!
